You’re Not Alone

Women Who Need Help Need to Know They’re Not Alone

Almost every woman has been there, scared and faced with a daunting problem for which there seems to be no solution. The game of life often deals unfair hands, and it’s up to individuals to determine how they will play the hand they have been dealt. For many women, the cards have been stacked against them from birth and, unfortunately, they may feel as though they are facing the world alone. Others may have started life with every opportunity but have lost it all in the blink of an eye. No matter what your situation, or how you came to be in need, it’s important that you understand that you are not alone.

Across the world are organizations, agencies, and activists all working to improve the plight of impoverished, abused, and abandoned women everywhere. No matter where you came from, where you are, or where you hope to go, someone will be available to assist you with your problems and to help you get your life back on track. The goals of these organizations are to help you live a life that you are proud of. Many of the people working for these agencies have been in your shoes and know exactly what you are going through and how to rise above the circumstances that you have been thrust into. Because these people, some volunteers, some employees, have experienced the same worry, heartbreak, and uncertainty that you may be feeling they are the perfect people to help you out of your bad situation and assist you in reclaiming your life and your future.

When you enter the building of an organization or reach out to an employee or volunteer you should feel at ease and understand that these people are only trying to help you. If you don’t feel comfortable then contact another organization, but don’t give up hope. Once you find someone that you are at ease talking to, and who has the resources to help you with your needs, you will experience the greatest feeling of peace and relaxation. This feeling is worth all of the effort it takes to overcome loneliness and despair and reach out for help.

When facing the need to seek help to find shelter, childcare, or protection often the most unsettling aspect of the experience is the feeling that you are alone against the world. The feeling of isolation, of despair, and of being utterly on your own can be overwhelming and, if not combated, can dishearten even the strongest of women. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength; women who seek help are strong enough to rise above despair and confront the circumstances that have led them to feel so alone in the world.

If you are feeling as though you’re the only one in your corner, don’t give up. Women’s rights and women’s protection groups can help you reclaim your life and give you the support you need through these hard times.

If you know anyone who feels alone or who may be suffering, extend a hand. Emotional support is one of the most valuable things you can give to a woman in need.

One example of an organization helping people in need is Free Charity Cars. Although they don’t cover the cost of cheap auto insurance, you may end up making some friends, contacts and possible gaining a car.
